Favorite Daytona Eats: The People Speak

When you stay at Sea Shells Beach Club, you will never be without a new and exciting place to eat every day should you choose. From seafood to sweets, Daytona Beach offers a wealth of delicious food.

The Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau started the hashtag #dinearounddaytonabeach to create an exchange of opinions about the best places to nosh in the area. We thought we’d relay a few of the restaurants Daytona Beach visitors and locals chose as favorites.

Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shoppe
You can have everything key lime without traveling to Key West. Kermit’s is famous for key lime delicacies (pie, salsa, taffy, tea, olive oil, cookies) and he’s got locations in DeLand as well as a mobile truck that could be spotted selling his delicious delicacies anywhere in Daytona. Try the Key Lime Fudge. You can also buy online.

Aunt Catfish’s on the River
Enjoy a southern seafood tradition at Aunt Catfish’s Sunday brunch with fresh seafood, ribs, signature gooey cinnamon rolls, and a full bar, all overlooking the water. Aunt Catfish’s is a Daytona favorite for shellfish and southern cooking. They also have live entertainment most weekends.

Sunglow Pier& Crabby Joe’s
Looking for that true beach dining experience? Crabby Joe’s is it. Situated right on the pier, there’s no formality, just great seafood. Wear your bathing suit and enjoy fresh seafood and land lover specialties alike. Get a specialty mixed drink from the Calypso Bar or a craft beer on tap. Try the grilled yellow fin tuna.

Located in The Shores Resort, Azure is a favorite among diners looking for an upscale experience. The dinner menu features entrees as well as prix fixe menus with wine pairings and a wine list that showcases new, sought-after varietals. Azure offers breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Beachfront dining is also available. Try one of their amazing appetizers.

Pat & Toni’s Sweet Things
This is the place to hit when you’re visiting DeLand. Fresh chocolates, lots of licorice, fudge and nostalgic retro candy are all available, along with chocolate wine-bottle dipping (exactly what it sounds like, they will dip your favorite wine bottle in chocolate). Try their brand new sea salt and caramel fudge.

There are so many great places to chow down when visiting Daytona Beach, we’d like to know what your favorites are so we can share them with future Sea Shells Beach Club guests.
