December may have some cooler weather in store for you during your stay at Sea Shells Beach Club, but don’t worry. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s make getting out and about very pleasant. Besides, Daytona Beach knows how to be “cool,” because this month sees the return of the not-to-be-missed festival: Daytona December to Remember.
The focal point of Daytona’s holiday festival is a series of concerts by tribute bands. Tap your feet to these musical acts at the Daytona Bandshell!
Saturday Dec. 16 – Brooklyn Boys (Barry Manilow & Neil Diamond Tribute Band)
Sing along with “Mandy,” “Copacabana,” “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon,” and of course, “Sweet Caroline.”
Saturday Dec. 23 – Caribbean Chillers (Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band)
In their own words, the Caribbean Chillers “Buffett” better than any other tribute act out there. This means you’ll get a slice of tropical paradise. You won’t even notice it’s not the man himself performing for you!
Friday Dec. 29 – Ultimate Aldean (Jason Aldean Tribute Band)
While Jason Aldean enjoys unfaltering popularity, his tribute band, led by Greg West, doesn’t do too bad either. Events promoter Live Nation even called the Ultimate Aldean the “World Greatest Jason Aldean Tribute.” Greg visits the real deal often to study the moves and mannerisms of the country star. Fans of the genre will surely have an unforgettable night in this “crazy town.”
Saturday Dec. 30 – Cowboy (Kid Rock Tribute Band)
This five-piece from Roanoke, Virginia, has taken the stage at Daytona’s famous Bike Week before, so they know a thing or two about entertaining large crowds. Imagine summer is just around the corner when you hear “All Summer Long.”
Sunday Dec. 31 – Jaded (Aerosmith Tribute Band)
For some wholesome rock and roll on your New Year’s Eve, come to the Bandshell and check out Jaded. These guys come with big hats and big hits, such as “Dream On,” “Cryin’,” Walk This Way” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” And you don’t want to miss the fireworks after the show either!
There are several other festival activities that you can participate in, or enjoy before each concert. Have your photo taken with Santa, race with radio-controlled cars, or find that perfect present at the Seaside Gift Market. Other fun happenings during Daytona December to Remember include the Chanukah Festival at the Schnebly Center (December 17) and the Santa Paws Pooch Parade on the Boardwalk (December 23).
Regardless of who your favorite artist is, Sea Shells Beach Club is just a short walk from the Bandshell.
