Summer traditions are a little different in Daytona Beach, Florida, especially when you have one of the world’s most iconic race tracks. The first Saturday of July marks the annual Coke Zero 400, an exciting part of NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series. If you’ll be staying at the Sea Shells Beach Club during Fourth of July weekend, this is a racing event everyone will enjoy!
Starting Thursday, July 3, the Sprint FANZONE will be open to racecar enthusiasts, allowing you to see what goes on inside the garages and much more. This is your chance to see your favorite drives up close and get some autographs before the race!
The FANZONE will be open all weekend, but it all leads up to the main event, the Coke Zero 400, at 7:30 p.m. on July 5. You can watch the 160-lap, 400-mile race under the night sky, which is unlike many other stock car races.
You’ll find the ultimate summer experience here with a pre-race performance by Sheryl Crow, tailgating and one of the most impressive firework displays you’ll ever see. And, as is the case most years, there is sure to be some drama on the track!
This is the kind of experience NASCAR fans dream of, so make sure you visit the Daytona International Speedway the next time you come down to Daytona, Florida, and stay with us at the Sea Shells Beach Club!
