Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Daytona

Somehow, we all suddenly feel a little Mexican on Cinco de Mayo, and Daytona has some neat places to celebrate.

Whether it’s tacos and burritos or some good tequila you crave during your Cinco stay at Sea Shells Beach Club, here are a few ways to get in the fiesta spirit.

New Smyrna Beach Cinco de Mayo Celebration & Tequila Fest
Slap on a sombrero and head to NSB for Cinco de Mayo. The 7th annual celebration on Flagler Avenue includes food, entertainment and dancing. Multiple stops along Flagler will feature Mexican food, drink specials, live bands and tequila tasting stops at local pubs and cantinas. The event goes from 2 – 11 p.m.

Tia Cori’s Tacos
If a live mariachi band doesn’t get you in the mood, nothing will. Tia’s has one, along with locally made fresh tortillas and all your Mexican food staples from tacos and tamales to burritos and flautas. Their signature Tequila Colada drink brings strawberry, pina colada and mango flavors together for one yummy drink. And the prices are so low you’ll be able to afford lots more celebration afterward.

La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant
WARNING: The images on this website may cause extreme hunger and instant craving for all foods Mexican. From their al pastor street tacos to their blood orange margarita, La Fiesta is ready to give you a fantastic taste experience. Try their Mar Y Tierra (surf and turf Mexican style with shrimp and steak drizzled in queso sauce atop a bed of fresh cilantro rice).

May 5 is just around the corner! Where will you celebrate this year’s excuse to eat gallons of guacamole and indulge in multiple margaritas?
