Biketoberfest is Back!

Biketoberfest is big in Daytona, and Sea Shells Beach Club is getting ready for the 2015 party happening October 15-18. As Daytona’s venues fill up, Sea Shells Beach Club does have rooms available, but they’ll go fast during this popular event.

Each year, about 125,000 motorcyclists roll into the Daytona Beach area for Biketoberfest, a multi-day, annual event. The extended weekend of fun and sun includes motorcycle shows and rallies, live music, scenic rides along A1A and other historic roadways, racing at Daytona International Speedway and vendors offering everything from the latest models to parts and accessories.

What You’ll See
The main event features a 12-mile ride along a series of scenic state and county highways in Volusia County known as the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail or ‘Loop’. Other popular rides include up and down Main Street and Beach Street, through various state parks such as Tomoka State Park and DeLeon Springs State Park and to the historic Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse, located just south of Daytona Beach.

What You Can Do
Even if you’re not riding, nightlife during Biketoberfest is a blast. Some of Daytona’s famous Main Street biker bars like Froggy’s, Dirty Harry’s, Main Street Station and the Boot Hill Saloon offer food and drink specials, as well as live entertainment and giveaways. And wherever you are, it’s nearly impossible not to find a happening place to grab a drink and mingle with the bikers.

Live music is a big part of this event as well. Check out concerts like Night Moves: The Ultimate Bob Seger Tribute Band or the four-day concert lineup at Full Moon Saloon.

If you have the need for speed, there are also multiple motorcycle races and demos on the high banks of the newly repaved Daytona International Speedway. The party is not complete without a stop at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona, home of Daytona Harley-Davidson, the world’s largest Harley-Davidson dealership and mecca for motorcycle enthusiasts.

If you can’t make it this year, think about booking your Sea Shells Beach Club stay for next year. Biketoberfest is typically held the weekend immediately following Columbus Day with most visitors staying throughout the week.

If you can make it this year, you’ll have a great ocean-front vacation experience and be close to all the action when you stay at Sea Shells Beach Club for Biketoberfest. You can book online at or by phone at 800-487-9583.
