A December to Remember in Daytona

Daytona Beach cherishes holiday celebration so much they do it for a whole month. If you’re at Sea Shells Beach Club this month, don’t miss a chance to see some great live music and celebrate the upcoming holidays during the December to Remember event.

A December to Remember is a month-long event that begins November 28, 2015 and ends January 2, 2016. On Saturdays and Sundays all through the month, live bands will play their favorites, holiday and otherwise, with other entertainment for the whole family.

The iconic Daytona Beach Bandshell and Ocean Walk Shoppes are the setting for this holiday beach festival. Here’s what’s going on.

Light Up Volusia Nights
A December to Remember kicked off November 28 with Light Up Volusia festivities at the Ocean Center.

Weekend Events
Every Saturday from noon – 8 p.m. and every Sunday from noon – 6 p.m. guests can enjoy a variety of tribute bands followed by a fireworks display (Saturdays only for fireworks).

Surrounding activities include arts and crafts vendors, food by Backyard Boys Barbecue, choo-choo train rides on the Boardwalk Express down to Joyland Train Station, a sand play area, Reindeer Scavenger Hunt, radio remote control cars, face painting, inflatables and much more. While you’re there, check out the Sand Blaster Roller Coaster, go carts and arcades on the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Pier.

New! Sand Sculpture Trail
In a new event this year, master sculptor Suzanne Altamare will showcase her holiday sand artwork along a predetermined trail visitors can follow on a map to see each display. Altamare will also lead sand sculpting lessons prior to the amateur sand sculpture contest on the beach.

We hope you’ll visit Sea Shells Beach Club during the holidays. There’s no shortage of celebration in Daytona.
